Kaso ng COVID-19 sa PH maaaring umabot ng 8.3M–Nograles

SINABI ni Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) spokesperson at Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles na maaaring umabot sa 8.3 milyon Pinoy ang posibleng mahawaan ng coronavirus disease (COVID-19) base na rin sa pagtaya ng mga eksperto.

“So, ang mga estimate na ipinakita sa amin, iyong isang estimate ang sabi nila is ang maaaring potential peak ng Pilipinas ng infected COVID-19 kung papabayaan lang natin ito at wala tayong gagawin is 1.9 million Filipinos. Iyong isang estimate, sinabi aabot tayo ng peak ng 5.2 million Filipinos infected ng COVID-19. Iyong isa, sinabi aabot tayo ng 6.2 million Filipinos infected ng COVID-19.  Iyong isa sinabi, aabot tayo ng 6.2 million Filipinos infected ng COVID-19. Iyong isa sinabi, 8.3 million Filipinos infected ng COVID-19,” sabi ni Nograles.

Idinagdag ni Nograles na iprinisinta kay Pangulong Duterte ng mga eksperto, epidemiologist, mathematicians at mga scientist ang ‘worst case scenarios’ sa nangyayaring pandemic. 

Idinagdag ni Nograles na mas mataas ito kumpara sa naunang datos na ipinalabas ng World Health Organization (WHO) na posibleng 75,000 kaso ng COVID-19.

“Kaya nabanggit ni (Finance) Secretary (Carlos) Dominguez na kung hindi agad tayo nag-lockdown, we would have potentially lost 100,000 Filipino lives,” ayon pa kay Nograles.

Ani Nograles nangangahulugan ang  milyong-milyong bilang ng kaso ng COVID-19 ng mas maraming bilang ng mga masasawi.

“I-check mo anong mortality o fatality rate ng COVID-19 across the world, doon mo ma-estimate how many potential lives of Filipinos are lost. Meaning to say, mga kababayan, kung pababayaan lang natin itong ganitong sitwasyon na wala tayong gagawin, hindi tayo mag-cooperate, hindi tayo magtulungan, kung hindi tayo gagawa ng hakbang, ganoon po  ang mangyayari base sa mga estimates ng iba’t ibang mga scientists,” ayon pa kay Nograles.
