P5K-P8K emergency subsidy ibibigay sa 18M mahirap na pamilya

MAGBIBIGAY ng P5,000 hanggang P8,000 emergency monthly subsidy ang gobyerno sa 18 milyong mahihirap na pamilya na naapektuhan ng Enhanced Community Quarantine.

At dalawang buwan magbibigay ng subsidy ang gobyerno ayon sa inaprubahang emergency power ng Senado at Kamara de Representantes.

Sinabi ni House committee on ways and means chairman at Albay Rep. Joey Salceda na dapat bilisan ng gobyerno ang pagbibigay ng tulong na ito.

“We must keep everyone on the boat. If we will heal as one, as the bill hopes to do, no one must be left behind. So, the lists have to be as inclusive as possible,” ani Salceda. Maaari umanong gamitin ang mga kasalukuyang programa ng gobyerno gaya ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD), ‘self-employed’ lists ng Social Security System, Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture para sa mga magsasaka at mangingisda upang matukoy ang mga bibigyan ng tulong.

“Let’s also open it for application. If you can prove na nasaktan ka ng enhanced community quarantine at magugutom ka kapag walang assistance, you should qualify,” saad ng solon.

Sinabi ni Salceda na mayroon ding probisyon ang panukala upang bigyan ng P100,000 ang mga public at private health workers na nahawa ng COVID-19 habang ginagampanan ang kanilang trabaho at P1 milyon sa mga namatay.

Ang Philippine Health Insurance Company naman ang magbabayad ng medical expenses ng mga public at private health workers na mahahawa.
