NAGBIGAY ng warning si Maine Mendoza sa kanyang social media account tungkol sa mga taong ginagamit ang kanyang DoNation drive para makapang-loko ng tao.
” FRAUD ALERT!!! For everyone’s information, DoNation drive’s ONLY G-cash number/account is 09563890291. Please do not rely on other people’s post. Always refer to my social media accounts and don’t forget to double check the number! Daming nag-ttake advantage ng situation. Nakakalungkot.”
May isa kasing nag-post at nagpapanggap pang si Ryan Agoncillo na nagbibigay ng maling G-cash number para doon i-donate.
Dagdag pa nya, walang Twitter account si Ryan at nagpaalala na i-double check nila ang mga accounts para hindi sila mabiktima.
“Also, that is not Ryan Agoncillo’s Twitter account, it’s a PARODY ACCOUNT. Wala pong Twitter si Kuya Ryan, please don’t fall for any fraudulent schemes by people posing as celebrities/public figures. Always double check.”
Sinimulan ni Maine and DoNation drive dahil aniya ito ang maliit nyang paraan para makatulong sa mga naapektuhan ng enhanced community quarantine na hatind ng COVID-19.
Ayon sa kanyang post layunin nyang makapagbigay ng P1000 worth of food and groceries sa mga workers at pamilya nilang naapektuhan.
