Pagpasok sa PH ng People’s Liberation Army ng China ikinabahala

NAGPAHAYAG ng pagkabahala si Armed Forces chief Gen. Felimon Santos sa ulat na libo-libong mga miyembro ng People’s Liberation Army (PLA) ng China ang nasa bansa kasabay ng utos sa mga intelligence operatives na imbestigahan ito.

Ito’y matapos namang ibunyag ni Sen. Panfilo Lacson na nasa Pilipinas ang tinatayang 2,000 hanggang 3,000 miyembro ng PLA para sa isang immersion mission.

“We are in the process of validating the report of Sen. Lacson, that being a matter of serious concern,” sabi ni Santos.

“I have tasked my staff for intelligence to confirm said reports in coordination with other relevant agencies,” ayon pa kay Santos.

Nauna nang ikinaalarma rin ni Sen. Richard Gordon ang umano’y pagtungo sa bansa ng mga miyembro ng PLA at ang pagdadala ng mga Tsino sa bansa ng $160 milyon.

“For sure, there are Chinese intel operatives deployed/operating here in our country. Maybe they run in hundreds and use legit covers like businessmen, media, academe, tourists,” sabi ng opisyal.

“Our estimate of their (PLA) operatives here will be just hundreds. Maybe 300 at the most,” dagdag ng opisyal.

Nadiskubre ang pagpasok ng mga operatiba ng Chinese military nang makumpiska ang mga PLA identification card sa dalawang Tsinoy na naaresto dahil sa pamamaril kamakailan sa Makati City.
