Gag order sa isyu ng franchise ng ABS-CBN suportado ng Palasyo
SINUPORTAHAN ng Palasyo ang petisyon na inihain ni Solicitor General Jose Calida kung saan hiniling niya sa Korte Suprema na atasan ang lahat na manahimik kaugnay sa isyu ng prangkisa ng ABS-CBN.
“Tama naman siya doon kasi parang nagiging emotional ang isyu on this particular topic. It’s much to do about nothing; it’s not about press freedom,” sabi ni Panelo.
Iginiit ni Panelo na walang kinalaman si Pangulong Duterte sa inihaing petisyon.
“The President has nothing to do with the petition, again we will repeat. Solicitor General Calida is just doing his job and Congress has the exclusive authority to grant or renew licenses,” ayon pa kay Duterte.
Ito’y sa harap naman ng kaliwa’t kanang sagutan ng mga sumusuporta at kontra sa prangkisa ng ABS-CBN.
Bago nito, naghain ng quo warranto petition si Calida laban sa ABS-CBN.
