LTO officers na nagbalagbag ng sasakyan sinibak

SINIBAK ng Department of Transportation-Land Transportation Office ang mga law enforcement officer na gumamit ng Patrol Vehicle 8 na nag-viral sa social media matapos ibinalagbag sa isang kalsada na nagdulot ng pagbabagal ng daloy ng trapiko.

Ayon kay LTO Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante inutusan nito ang Central Office Law Enforcement Service na alisin ang mga LEO at pagbawalan ang mga ito na gampanan ang trabaho bilang law enforcers.

“I have directed the Law Enforcement Service Chief to immediately relieve the LEOs from their present position, and to cease from performing law enforcement functions, pending investigation,” ani Galvante.

Pinagpapaliwanag din ang mga LEO na nakatalaga sa LTO National Capital Region kung bakit hindi sila dapat patawan ng disciplinary action sa kanilang ginawa.

“We do not tolerate such behaviors, especially from our enforcers who are supposed to be the first to follow land transportation and traffic laws, rules and regulations,” dagdag pa ng hepe ng LTO.
Ipinost ni Agasini-eu Borja sa kanyang Facebook account ang litrato ng sasakyan ng LTO na nakaharang sa kalsada. Mayroon ding litrato ng mga tauhan ng LTO na kumakain sa katabing kainan.

“The LTO appreciates reports like this from the citizens. We assure you that the Agency does condone such actions, and that it will act swiftly and accordingly to the law,” dagdag pa ni Galvante.
