Agot Isidro kontra sa summer MMFF: Kulang pa ba ang kita guys?

BONG GO, ROBIN PADILLA AT AGOT ISIDRO

Agot Isidro took a swipe at the MMFF summer edition.

“Oh em. May MMFF for summer??? Kulang pa ba ang kita, guys? Ano ba.” That was her recent tweet which had netizens reacting.

“May naniniwala pa pala sa MMFF? Di ba pera pera lang yan?”

“Para sipagin movie producers to make more movies. edi may work artista, cameramen and the crew. Tsaka maganda yung exclusive ang date for Pinoy movies.”

“Kelangan na rin po nilang humabol lapit-lapit na rin ang Election. Hahahaha.”

“Hindi ba nagbebenefit local movies pag nangyari to? The only way kumikita din ang local movie industry. Siguro pag yellow nakaisip nito sigurado ako todo worship ka.”

Meanwhile, Robin Padilla expressed support for the summer MMFF. Sa kanyang Instagram account, he posted a photo of Sen. Bong Go with Vilma Santos and narrated how the senator helped the MMFF.

“SUPPORT TO ALL FILIPINO ARTISTS AT THIS YEAR’S MMFF; ENCOURAGES FILIPINOS TO SUPPORT LOCAL MOVIE INDUSTRY

“Senator Christopher Lawrence Bong Go expressed his support to Filipino artists, including actors and actresses, filmmakers, and all those involved in the production of this year’s film entries to the MMFF, and encouraged moviegoers to show the same amount of support to the Philippine movie industry.

“It’s been a long day. Isa po ako sa mga juror. Puro magaganda ang mga pelikula ngayong taon kaya naman hinihakayat ko ang mga Pilipino. Sana ay tangkilikin natin ang ating mga pelikula. Suportahan naman natin ang Filipino movie industry,” Go, who is a member of the executive committee of this year’s MMFF, said during an interview at the MMFF Awards Night.

“Meanwhile, the senator–whose proposal to hold the MMFF twice a year to further help film workers and artists has already been approved by the executive committee–also asked Filipinos to support the second edition of the MMFF, now known as the Metro Manila Summer Festival.

“Hopefully, kung gaano ka-successful ang MMFF, suportahan din natin ang Summer Festival nito. Ang mga hindi nakapasok na pelikula rito, maaaring makapasok doon. Holding the MMFF twice a year was my suggestion po,” Go said.

Is this Robin’s answer to Agot’s rant? Just asking.
