Zero paper policy sa Kamara

SISIMULANG ipatupad sa Kamara de Representantes ang zero paper policy sa Enero.

Sinabi ni Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano na habang sinasabihan ng Kamara ang ibang ahensya na maging environment friendly ay nananatiling napakaraming papel ang ginagamit nito.

“Gusto sana natin by the end of January ma-impose na sa Congress kasi mahirap sabihin sa buong bansa, sa lahat ng department ‘Gawin niyo ‘to,” ani Cayetano. “Pagdating nila sa Congress kung saan sila nagpapasa ng budget nila, ‘Eh dito naman pala hindi, lahat naka-plastic na tubig…hindi nagse-segregate.”

Makabubuti umano kung magiging example ang Kamara.

Sinabi ni Cayetano na Makikipagpulong ito kay House Majority Leader Martin Romualdez upang pag-usapan ang “paperless House” plan na inaprubahan noong Agosto.

Ang Kamara ay gumagastos umano ng P9 milyon sa papel taon-taon. Lumolobo ito sa P12-P15 milyon kapag kasama ang gastos sa imprenta.
