SUBIC BAY FREEPORT ZONE – Nagdagdag ng ginto para sa Pilipinas ang modern pentathlon matapos na pangunahan nina Samuel German
at Princess Arbilon ang mixed relay laser run sa 30th Southeast Asian Games Huwebes ng hapon sa Subic Bay Boardwalk dito.
Inungusan ng mga Pinoy ang mga pares mula Thailand at Indonesia para sa gintong medalya sa oras na 13:27:34. Ibinulsa ng Thai pair nina Muktapha Changhin at Narongdeck Taparak (13:28:32) ang pilak habang napunta ang tanso sa Indonesian duo nina Frada Saleh at Cintya Nariska (13:59:54).
Sinungkit din nf Ormoc pride na si German ang silver medal sa men’s individual category samanatalang hindi naka-podium finisg si Arbilon sa women’s side.
Ito ang tanging ginto ng Pilipinas sa Subic cluster ngayong araw.
Ang actor-sportsman na si Richard Gutierrez ang bumuo ng national federation ng sport sa bansa at kasalukuyang pangulo ng Philippine Modern Pentathlon Association.
