KRIS AQUINO AT GRETCHEN BARRETTO

WAS Kris Aquino up to something that could trigger another word war with Gretchen Barretto?

At tulad ng alam ng lahat, Kris and Gretchen found themselves in an issue (that involving the Falcis brothers) kung saan wala namang kinalaman ang huli.

Let’s face it, kahit hindi pa ang mga Barretto sisters ang sangkot sa usapin, Kris always has a way of connecting herself and her own experiences.

Kahit pa siguro ang bumabang presyo ng palay na inirereklamo ng mga magsasaka ay may take si Kris even if she doesn’t till the soil. Kahit pa marahil sa eklay ni Sen. Cynthia Villar that she’s friends with the farmers across the country na isang malaking kabalintunaan naman, Kris may just be able to find a link to her family behind the Hacienda Luisita property.

For how many days last week though, it had been a sunny atmosphere for the feuding Barretto girls. As though their mouths were gagged, tahimik sila, thus, disappointing the public na nag-aabang pa ng mas matitinding pasabog.

Parang it had to take an Atong Ang from the joint Gretchen-Claudine camp para umiral ang tigil-putakan (or putukan as it may be) while the other male characters dragged into the fray were relegated to the bit player category.

Thanks to the dogged efforts of veteran colleague (Ate) Mercy Lejarde, napagsalita niya kasi ang retired actress, now US-based Kristine Garcia with whom nagkaroon ng anak ang negosyanteng si Atong Ang.

Sa mga hindi na nakakakilala sa aktres, Kristine was among the best during her time.

One of those melodramas, ‘ika nga.

Anyway, the confession of Kristine, now pushing 50, tungkol sa ngayo’y 30 years old nang love child nila ni Atong was through her and Ate Mercy’s exchange of private messages.

At tinitiyak niyang matagal na umanong may namamagitan sa kanila ni Gretchen which she (Kristine) describes as “nakakahiya.”

Now here comes Kristine na hindi maaaring maakusahang nakikisawsaw sa isyu where she’s directly involved in the Atong Ang angle. Kumbaga, Gretchen has neither rhyme nor reason to treat Kristine as she did to Ruffa Gutierrez with her harmless post.

All three—Nicole, Marjorie and Kristine—have spoken.
