Deniece Cornejo ayaw nang pag-usapan si Vhong; busy bilang ‘Miss Earth Saver’

UMUPO bilang isa sa mga hurado ang dating aspiring actress na si Deniece Cornejo sa National Costume and Evening Gown competition ng 2019 Miss Philippines na ginanap sa Resort’s World kamakailan.

Naging prominente ang pangalan ni Deniece nu’ng masangkot sa iskandalo kung saan involved din ang TV host-comedian na si Vhong Navarro na umabot pa nga sa demandahan.

Isa si Deniece sa mga napili para maging panel of judges ng Miss Philippines Foundation headed by businessman and hospital consultant na si Vic Torres.

On the said event ay nainterbyu namin si Deniece after the pageant and we asked her kung bakit siya kinuhang judge sa nasabing pageant.

“Kasi po I’m a Filipina. I’m a Filipino citizen and I’m very proud to support the Miss Philippines this year. So, I don’t think there’s no reason not to support, to watch and to witness this beautiful event,” sagot ni Deniece.

Bilang judge sa Miss Philippines, nakita raw niya na determinado ang mga contestant na nagre-represent ng kani-kanilang bayan sa buong Pilipinas.

“They really want to showcase their hometown. And I see the passion, and the love for the country,” lahad pa niya.

When asked kung kumusta na siya pagkatapos ng iskandalo at demandahan nila ni Vhong, she said that she’s okey naman daw. Sa ngayon, naka-focus daw siya sa pagpo-promote ng ating environment.

“Well, I’m focused in the environment which is currently… I’m the Miss Earth Saver, and I’m very active in the projects of the DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources). Last April we did an event for Earth Day 2018. And also, I’m focused and looking forward to more projects with the international martial arts which they gave me a second band blackbelt. And I’m busy with my online classes,” ani Deniece.

Feeling niya may calling siya para sa pagpapaunlad at pagpoproteka ng ating kalikasan, “Actually, that’s very surprising kasi, I don’t know. Maybe it’s God’s calling. And I think we really should focus on this area because ito ‘yung mga napag-iiwanan. So, I’m very thankful for the calling.”

She’s also a volunteer of Payong Kalikasan ng DENR. “And there’s this separate organization which is the Earth’s Saver Organization. So, they appoint me as Miss Earth Saver 2019.”

Yan ang kanyang mga pinagkakaabalahan kaya nawala siya sa “limelight”. “I never wanted to be in the limelight. Sobrang mahiyain po talaga ako. I’m just enjoying what I’m doing and so far naman po may mga blessing. So, yun po.”

Wala rin daw siyang manager, “I’ve been active with different organizations. So far, they’ve seen my passion, my determination and I’ve been very active. I think that’s the reason they (Miss PH) messaged me.”

Lastly, tinanong namin siya kung nagkaroon ba ng chance na magkatagpo sila ni Vhong in any event or occasion? “I cannot comment on that po,” tanggi ni Deniece.

Kaugnay pa rin ng Miss Philippines, pinag-uusapan ang isa sa kandidata mula sa Pollilio Island na si Reina Gilbelle Ann Roataquio.

Amanido si Miss Pollilio Island na isa siyang lesbian. Nilapitan namin siya after the pageant at mukhang punung-puno naman siya ng confidence sa kanyang pagsali sa Miss Philippines 2019.

“Wala naman pong masama kung sumali ako o ang ibang lesbians sa ganitong pageant. Actually, babae pa rin po sila, e,” say ng kandidata.

Model ang kanyang profession at ang agency na kanyang kinabibilangan ang nagbigay ng ideya sa kanya to join Miss Philippines, “Bukod po sa in-encourage po ako ng management ko, na-challenge rin po ako kaya ako sumali sa Miss Philippines,” lahad niya.

After ng National Costume at Long Gown competition, susunod naman na paglalabanan ng mga kandidata ng Miss PH ang pagsusuot ng swim wear na magaganap sa Puerto Princesa, Palawan on Sept. 20.
