5 guro nasawi sa paglubog ng bangka, 1 pa nakaligtasp
IKINALUNGKOT ng Department of Education ang pagkamatay ng limang guro sa paglubog ng tatlong motor boats sa Iloilo-Guimaras Strait.
Isa pang guro ang napaulat na nakaligtas sa trahedya.
Galing umano ang mga guro sa Guimaras State University upang iproseso ang kanilang graduate school requirements.
Sa mga nasawi, apat ang mula sa Lambunao National High School at ang isa ay sa Agcuyawan Calsada Elementary School, Barotac Nuevo.
“Officials of the Schools Division of Iloilo immediately travelled to the town of Dumangas to attend to the needs of the victims and their families,” ayon sa DepEd. “Finally, the Department expresses its wholehearted commitment and calls on its field offices, partners, and stakeholders to ensure that the bereaved families receive adequate support as they go through this difficult time.”
