P68M shabu nasabat sa Batangas

ARESTADO ang isang lalaki nang makuhaan ng P68 milyon halaga ng hinihinalang shabu, marijuana, at baril, sa raid sa Lipa City, Batangas, Lunes ng hapon.

Nakilala ang suspek bilang si Eugene Fernandez, residente ng Brgy. San Francisco, ayon sa ulat ng Batangas provincial police.

Isinagawa ng mga tauhan ng Provincial Intelligence Branch, iba pang police unit, at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency ang raid sa pinagtatrabahuhang farm ni Fernandez simula ala-1 hanggang alas-2:30.

Kabilang sa mga nasamsam ang 10 plastic bag na may aabot sa 10 kilo ng hinihinalang shabu at nakapaloob sa tea bag na may markang Guanyinwang refined Chinese tea.

Nasamsam din ang isang kalibre-.45 pistola, magazine na may walong bala, isang pinatuyong dahon ng marijuana, dalawang fully-grown marijuana plant na nasa paso, at isang digital weighing scale.

Ayon kay Col. Edwin Quilates, direktor ng Batangas provincial police, ni-raid ang farm bunsod ng impormasyon na ginagawa itong bagsakan ng droga.

Nagapag-alaman na si Fernandez, na isa lamang caretaker doon, ay malakihan kung tumaya sa sabong kaya nagduda ang pulisya, aniya.

“Kapag tumaya siya sa sabong ay P500,000, P300,000 eh wala namang legitimate source for that large amount of money,” ani Quilates.
