Cherie Gil nilait ng madlang pipol: Feeling naman niya!
Aling Cherie Gil’s “don’t-call-me-tita” stance has reached social media.
More than sympathy, lait ang inabot ng masyadong-feeling na aktres. Many of the public opinions were
against her. Masyado raw kasi siyang feeling, masyadong feeling entitled.
“Kung ayaw nya tawagin syang tita, pwede naman Aleng Cherie na lang tutal hindi mo naman sya kaanu ano eh. Bakit ko sya tatawaging madam or ma’am eh di ko naman sya boss. kaya Aleng Cherie na lang.”
“Pinalaki tayong pag may kausap na hindi kilala at nakakatanda gumalang, mag po at opo & pagmamano, millennials tita & tito ang way of addressing older people, noon manong & manang now tito & tita, anong masama dun?”
“Kanya-kanyang trip naming mga matatanda yan, bottom line respetuhan lang yan. Some are still in the process of realization pa, kayong mga wala pa sa edad namin, dont worry darating din kyo dyan.”
“When you go to Singapore and Malaysia, it’s very normal to call older people uncle and auntie, as a way of showing their respect. It doesn’t mean when you call them tito or tita magkamag-anak na kau or something.”
“I dont mind being called Tita or Ate, even if they are not my relative, I just find it strange when they came from somebody who is obviously older than me.”
So, from now on, since hindi naman natin siya relative, we’ll call her Aling Cherie na lang. Okay ba ‘yun?
