Pagpasa ng boxing-combat sports commission, naturalization ni Brownlee inihirit ni Romero

UMAASA si 1Pacman Rep. Mikee Romero na maihahabol ng Kongreso ang panukalang pagtatayo ng Philippine Boxing and Combat Sports Commission at ang naturalization ng PBA import na si Justin Brownlee ng Barangay Ginebra bago ang sine die adjournment sa Hunyo.

Ayon kay Romero maaaring maaprubahan ng Kamara de Representantes sa ikalawa at ikatlong pagbasa ang pagtatayo ng bagong komisyon (House bill 8883) samantalang ang naturalization ni Brownlee (HB 8106) ay nakabinbin sa House committee on justice.

“Perhaps, the committee on justice is ready to approve the bill next week, so it could also be calendared for second and third reading soon thereafter,” ani Romero.

Sinabi ni Romero na sana ay maibigay ang naturalization kay Brownlee bago ang FIBA World Cup na gaganapin sa China sa Agosto 31 hanggang Setyembre 15 para maisama ito sa lineup ni Coach Yeng Guiao at makabuo ng “strategic and tactical equations” para sa Gilas Pilipinas.
