Du30 tiwala pa rin kay Lapeña sa kabila ng kasong kinakaharap
IGINIIT ng Palasyo na inosente pa rin si Technical and Education Skills Authority (TESDA) Director-General Isidro Lapeña hanggang hindi napapatunayang guilty matapos kasuhan ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) kaugnay ng nawalang 105 container sa Bureau of Customs (BOC).
Idinagdag ni Presidential Spokesperson at Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo na nananatili pa rin ang tiwala ni Pangulong Duterte kay Lapeña sa kabila ng kinakaharap na kasong graft.
“Nonetheless, we point out that has the constitutional right to be presumed innocent. Until and unless proven otherwise, he still enjoys the trust and confidence of the appointing authority who happens to be the President,” sabi ni Panelo.
Kinasuhan si Lapeña ng NBI ng graft and corruption kaugnay ng pagkawala ng 105 container ng ceramic tiles sa Bureau of Customs (BOC) noong Marso.
“No one, friends or political foes alike, is spared in our fight against corruption. The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has a mandate to fulfill and its action is proof that the President shall not shield those upon whom a shadow of doubt has been cast,” giit naman ni Panelo.
