Casey Banes ng Brgy. Pinyahan nagwaging 2018 Queen of QC

“HAKOT” Queen ang transwoman na si Casey Banes Paculan ng Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City sa ginanap na coronation night ng 2018 Queen of Quezon City sa UP Theater last Saturday.

Bukod sa korona at titulo bilang 2018 Queen of Quezon City, si Casey din ang nakakuha ng ilang special awards kabilang na ang Best in Long Gown at Best in Swimsuit.

Sa simula pa lang ng coronation night ay agaw-pansin na agad si Casey dahil sa kanyang ganda at kaseksihan. In fairness, babaeng-babae na talaga ang itsura niya, bukod pa sa angkin niyang talino.

Isa sa mga advocacy ni Casey ay ang ibandera sa buong mundo ang galing at talento ng LGBT community. Mahilig din siyang kumain at magluto.

Ang mantra naman niya sa buhay ay, “You must tell yourself, no matter how hard it is or how hard it gets – I am going to make it.”

First runner-up at Lady Pride naman si Rami Hannash ng Barangay Sta. Lucia.

Samantala, wagi naman bilang Second runner-up at Lady Respect si Pamz Diaz ng Barangay Gulod, habang yhird runner-up at Lady Equality si Ghen Antolin ng Barangay Santa Monica.

Nagsilbi namang mga hurado sina 2016 Bb. Pilipinas Grand International Nicole Cordoves, Miss Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco, fashion designer Albert Andrada, Japanese-Brazilian model Hideo Muraoka at Asia’s Next Top Model season 3 contestant Monika Sta. Maria.

Nag-perform naman sa coronation night si Marco Gumabao at ang grupong Miss Tres, ang singing trio na humataw sa Asia’s Got Talent noong 2015 at sa Britain’s Got Talent nito lang nakaraang Mayo.

Sina Paolo Bediones at 2002 Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Karen Agustin ang nagsilbing host sa 2018 Queen of Quezon City na joint project ng Quezon City government at ng Quezon City Pride Council ang Queen of Quezon City.

Isa sa mga layunin ng Pride Council ang mas mapakakas pa ang pwersa ng LGBT community at maitaguyod ang kanilang karapatan bilang members ng society.
