Kris inireklamo ang headline sa dyaryo, Vice-Mayor Joy nag-sorry

HINDI baseless ang aria ni Kris Aquino sa isang pahayagan.

Kris was visibly miffed when a certain newspaper organization was allegedly trying to lambast her with a barrage of negative write-ups which was why she posted this message: “Fyi po sa pamilyang nagpa-patakbo ng @pilstarngayon no need akong i-down. Kakapirma today ng 2 year contract w/P&G – may no political participation clause. So safe na safe ang QC. P.S. next time a little more subtlety – halata tuloy na insecure. #lovelovelove.”

Quezon City Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte reacted and said, “A friend sent me this Tweet from Kris Aquino and she is obviously referring to my family and me being insecure of her. I apologise profusely to Kris for whatever it is that offended her.

“Am still trying to find the article she is referring to because I haven’t read it, and I’m sorry too that she thinks I have something to do with it, or that wha-tever squabble she may have with the reporter that wrote the offending article has something to do with me.

“For the record, I do not know what she is talking about but I apologise for any offence taken by her. And i still remain eternally grateful to her for ha-ving endorsed me in a video which i posted months ago; and even if she is angry with me for whatever reason, i hope she remembers that my mother and hers were best friends and that my mother started the Philippine Star to support hers in 1986.

“I pray no issue will get in the way of the years of friendship our families shared. And i remain happy for all the success the Lord has blessed her with.”

Nabasa namin ang tila sunud-sunod na batikos kay Kris sa isang pahayagan – “Kris nilaglag sa pictorial sa leading newspapers at website sa US!”, “Kapamilya at Kapuso walang interes, Kris nag-request sa TV5 ng coverage sa kanyang pagrampa sa premiere ng Hollywood movie”, “Kris nasaktan nang tanggihan ng TWBA!” – all of which certainly caused Kris to react.
