National ID hindi mandatory pero transaksyon sa gobyerno magiging mahirap- PSA

SINABI ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) na hindi mandatory ang national ID system, bagamat magiging mahirap ang transaksyon sa gobyerno.

Sa isang briefing sa Malacanang, sinabi ni PSA Undersecretary Lisa Grace Bersales na hindi naman kakasuhan ang mga mabibigong kumuha ng national ID.

“Actually, hindi po explicit sa law na mandatory ito. No one will be forced to enroll in the national ID system. However—palagi naman pong may but iyon or however- they will have difficulty in doing business with government and the other private sector eventually, because the requirement for doing business will be the national ID. So, it’s really more about accessing benefits,” sabi ni Bersales.

Idinagdag ni Bersales na tinatayang P2 bilyon ang inilaan para sa implementasyon ng national ID ngayong 2018.

Sinabi pa ni Bersales na libre ang pagkuha ng national ID.

“So, in the law actually it says, the first, when you register and—registration of course is free. Your first ID card is also free. So, we assure you of that,” dagdag ni Bersales.

Idinagdag ni Bersales na kabilang sa hihinging impormasyon ay pangalan, birthday, birth place, sex, blood type, address, at citizenship.

“Then the optional are marital status, e-mail address, mobile number,” ayon pa kay Bersales.

Sinabi pa ni Bersales na magsisimula nang ipatupad ang national ID sa katapusan ng Agosto.

Sa pagkuha ng national ID, kinakailangan lamang magdala ng birth certificate, ayon pa kay Bersales.

Mas mahaba naman ang proseso para sa mga walang birth certificate.

Agad namang mabibigyan ng national ID ang mga bagong panganak na sangol, sabi pa ni Bersales.

Inamin naman ni Bersales na aabutin ng tatlo hanggang limang taon bago mabigyan ng national ID ang lahat ng mga Pinoy at alien residents.
