Jed sa 15th anniversary concert: Kakaibang ‘high’ ang mapi-feel nila!
JED Madela will make his 15th anniversary concert at the Araneta Coliseum his grandest show ever.
Titled “Jed Madela XV: Higher Than High The 15th Anniversary Concert” is scheduled on Nov. 16 at The Big Dome.
“Biritan ito at big production numbers. Sabi ko noong creative meeting namin, I don’t want the show to be a typical concert na pagdating mo doon ay opening, sayaw-sayaw, guest-guest, tawa-tawa, iiyak-iyak sa dulo and then ending sabog, confetti, bigla na lang thank you, thank you,” chika ni Jed sa amin.
“We are going to do song aside from biritan. You’ll have a different high when you’re in the venue. It’s pure music and entertainment. It’s going to be a different experience. Sabi ko sa kanila, the show will not start sa pagsimula ng kanta. The show will start when you enter the coliseum. Pagpasok mo pa lang may something na,” dagdag pa ng singer who, to us, is the standard by which great singers are measured.
Kasabay ng concert ang paglabas ng latest album ni Jed where some of his compositions are included.
When we asked him kung ano ang gusto niyang ma-achieve sa kanyang concert, Jed said, “Ang gusto ko lang, when they leave the coliseum, they will talk about the concert for days, for weeks. Iba ‘yung feeling nila when they leave the concert. They leave happy, inspired, more supportive of me, mas fans pa kaysa sa dati.”
Being his grandest concert ever, Jed admitted being, “very nervous kasi sobra akong hands on dito.”
“I am the creative director of the concert. All the ideas coming up from the posters to the line-up of songs to the guests to the treatment of the prod numbers are all from me.
“Sabi ko, the concert or the album is the reflection of the artist. Ayoko ‘yung tipong dinidikta lang sa akin like ‘Jed, gawin mo ‘to. Jed kantahin mo ‘to kasi uso. Jed, ito ‘yung picture natin kasi ito ang in thing ngayon na mga look.’ It’s not that, eh. It’s very personal na when people see the poster, sasabihin nila, ‘ito ‘yung personality ni Jed.’”
