RS Francisco shared his experience while shooting a video and doing a photo shoot in China for Frontrow Entertainment’s production of “M Butterfly”.

The musical is produced by Jhett Tolentino and directed by Kanakan Balintagos with RS reprising his iconic role as Song Liling, an opera diva and spy.

“It was scary because natakot kami na baka hulihin kami o i-hassle. We feel so blessed because when we landed in China, my friend who lived in Beijing said, ‘you know this is the first time in Beijing that there’s blue sky.

“This is the first time, and this is the hottest in 2018. It reached 39 degrees. I didn’t believe it.

“The next day when I saw the newspaper the headline was ‘China hottest record-breaking, blue skies appear.’ When we shot in the Great Wall of China, the blue skies were there, parang the weather cooperated,” chika ni RS.

“This M Buterfly is my simple way of giving back. Professionally I started in M Butterfly. For me this is my way of because it dramatically and drastically changed my life, not just my name, from Raymond to RS.

“It changed the course of my life and the doors of opportunities. This is my way of giving back not just to the audience but to 14 charities.

“This is a 100% charity event. Lahat ng proceeds, ticket sales and all ng gabing iyon, will go to a certain charity.

“There’s Hope for Change where nagpapadala kami ng scholars, Love Yourself which is promoting HIV awareness We have Dulaang UP of course where I started,” dagdag pa ni RS.

“M Butterfly” will open starting Sept. 13 to 30 at the Maybank Performing Arts Theater, Bonifacio Global City.
