BARANGAY Ginebra Gin Kings head coach Tim Cone

“We’ve decided to make a change in import,” sabi ni Cone sa kanyang text message. “We’re bringing in a
6-foot-10 big man in Charles Garcia who will arrive Saturday evening.”

“He’s a player I have scouted in the past,” sabi ni Cone.

“When we first contracted Shane Edwards, we believed Greg would be healthy and available to play, and Shane could play alongside him,” dagdag pa ni Cone. “But with Greg’s injury, we feel that we need someone to replace Greg rather than play alongside him.”

“Our biggest problem is our import couldn’t come in time, so we’re hoping the substitute will come in tomorrow so we can practice with him by Sunday afternoon. We’ll use that rest of the time to just acclimatize him and jell him with the team until our Saturday game,” sabi ni Guiao.
