“Now at the end of the meeting, the President though clarified that one of the first things that will be done upon closure of Boracay is validation on which resorts are complying with the existing environmental rules and regulations,” sabi ni Roque. Ito’y matapos namang aprubahan ni Duterte ang rekomendasyon ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Tourism (DOT) at Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) para sa anim na buwang pagsasara ng Boracay simula Abril 26. “And although he did not commit anything as far as the complying resort owners are concerned, he has promised that the validation will be done quickly, and he will see right away what can be done for those who have been validated to be complying with environmental laws. And of course, the six-month period is by way of a maximum period as recommended by the three departments,” ayon pa kay Roque. Idinagdag ni Roque na inaasahan na ilalabas ang kautusan kaugnay ng state of calamity bago ang itinakdang pagsasara ng Boracay sa Abril 26.
