3 bus sa Cubao huli sa operasyon ng MTRCB
MATAGUMPAY ang isinagawang inspeksyon at information drive ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) sa mga pampasaherong bus at terminal noong nakaraang Semana Santa.
Ito’y pinangunahan mismo ni MTRCB Chairperson Rachel Arenas kasama ang ilang staff ng ahensya.
Ayon kay Chairman Arenas, mas pinaigting nila ang inspeksyon nitong nagdaang Holy Week para matiyak na sinusunod ng mga pampasaherong sasakyan ang batas sa pagpapalabas ng mga pelikula habang nasa biyahe.
“This is to increase public awareness and to ensure that buses only exhibited materials within the General Audience (G) or Parental Guidance (PG) film classification so that children on board will not be exposed to materials inappropriate for their ages.
“This also coincides with the anticipated volume of commuters travelling to different provinces for the Holy Week break,” pahayag ni Chairman Rachel.
Tatlong violations ang naitala sa isinagawang inspeksyon sa Araneta Bus Station at Araneta Bus Port base sa report ng Monitoring and Inspection Unit (MIU) ng MTRCB. The buses were from Ceres Transport Inc., Ceres Gold Star and Elavil all of which displaying unrated video materials.
Bukod dito, inikot din ni Chairman Rachel ang Florida Bus Terminal at Victory Liner Terminal kasama si Board Member Joey Romero para sa kanilang info drive. “This is also to guarantee that passengers view the version of the materials which was approved by the Agency.”
Walang nairekord na violation sa mga nasabing bus terminals.
