PNoy, et al kinasuhan sa Comelec kaugnay ng Dengvaxia disbursement
SINAMPAHAN si dating pangulong Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III sa Commission on Elections (Comelec) ng paglabag sa Omnibus Election Code kaugnay ng kontrobersiyal na Dengvaxia immunization program ng Department of Health (DOH).
Sa 9-pahinang joint complaint-affidavit na inihain ng Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) at ni Dr. Francis Cruz, sinabi nila naglabas ng P3.5 bilyong pondo para sa pagbili ng Dengvaxia vaccine 45 araw bago ang eleksiyon noong Mayo 2016.
Sinabi ng mga nagreklamo na ito ay paglabag sa Section 261 (v) of B.P. Blg. 881, o ang Omnibus Election Code.
Bukod kay Aquino, kabilang sa mga kinasuhan ay sina dating Budget Secretary Florencio “Butch” Abad, dating Health Secretary Janette Garin at 16 opisyal ng DOH.
