NAGDEKLARA ang Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) ng walong araw na unilateral ceasefire para sa pagdiriwang ng kapaskuhan.
Giniwa ni Ka Oris, spokesman ng New People’s Army (NPA), ang pahayag kahapon.
“This unilateral declaration of ceasefire shall be in effect from 6:00 p.m. of December 23 to 6:00 p.m. of December 26; and 6:00 p.m. of December 30 to 6:00 p.m. of January 2, 2018,” sabi Ka Oris.
Inilabas ang kautusan matapos na rin ang direktiba mula sa CPP Central Committee.
“All NPA units and people’s militias shall cease and desist from carrying out offensive military campaigns and operations against the government forces and its paramilitaries,” sabi sa kautusan.
Nauna nang nagdeklara ang Malacanang ng unilateral ceasefire sa NPA, sa kabila nang naunang pagdedeklara nito sa NPA bilang teroristang grupo. Inquirer.net
