SA nakalipas na torneo ng PBA D-League ay umabot sa semifinal round ang Blackwater Sports subalit nabigo itong umusad sa championship round.
Ngayon ay sisiguraduhin ng Elite na hindi mauulit ang kasaysayan sa pagharap nito sa Boracay Rum sa Game Three ng kanilang best-of-three semis ngayong hapon sa Blue Eagle Gym.
“Nothing has changed in our goal to make the finals,” sabi ni Blackwater Sports coach Leo Isaac. “We’re just one win away to get there.”
Pero tulad ng Blackwater Sports ay desidido rin ang Boracay Rum na makarating sa Finals.
“We just have to battle and battle and give it our best shot,” sabi ni Boracay Rum coach Lawrence Chongson. “Hopefully, our resilience will make a difference again.”
Nanalo ang Elite sa Game One, 79-69, sa pangunguna nina Gio Ciriacruz at Allan Mangahas na umiskor ng pinag-samang 30 puntos.
Nakaganti naman ang Waves sa Game Two, 69-65, para makapuwersa ng do-or-die Game Three. — Mike Lee
