TINATAYANG 20.8 milyon estudyante ang papasok ngayon sa mga publikong elementarya at high school.
Sinabi ng Department of Education na handa na ang mga paaralan sa pagpasok ng mga estudyante.
“Months before the opening of classes, the department has already taken steps to prepare all public elementary and high schools across the country.
With this, we are optimistic that all our preparations are in place and are looking forward to a smooth opening of classes,” ani Education Secretary Armin Luistro.
Inaasahang 1.78 milyon kindergarten pupils; 13.3 milyon elementary pupils at 5.7 milyon high school students ang papasok ngayon.
Ang mga pribadong paaralan ay maaaring magsimula ng klase sa mga susunod na araw subalit kailangan nilang kumpletuhin ang itinakdang araw ng pasok.
Ipinaalala ni Luistro sa mga magulang at school administrator na walang dapat na bayaran ang mga estudyante upang makapag-enroll.
Nanawagan si ACT Rep. Antonio Tinio na dagdagan ang budget ng gobyerno para sa edukasyon. —Leifbilly Begas
