Ceasefire tapos na; AFP babawi sa NPA

John Roson - February 03, 2017 - 06:02 PM
npa Maglulunsad na ang Armed Forces ng opensiba laban sa New People’s Army (NPA), matapos wakasan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pinairal na tigil-putukan ng pamahalaan. “We will go after the NPA to prevent them from conducting atrocities and criminal activities against the public. And we will hit them hard!” sabi ni AFP chief Gen. “Go back to your camps, clean your rifles, and get ready to fight,” utos ng pangulo sa mga kawal. Inilarawan ni Año bilang “disdainful and disturbing” ang nakalipas na apat na araw, kung saan anim na kawal ang napatay at tatlo pa ang dinukot ng NPA, ang armadong sangay ng National Democratic Front at Communist Party of the Philippines. “While Fidel Agcaoilli (of the National Democratic Front) was assuring the public thru media that NDF-CPP-NPA will continue the unilateral ceasefire, the CPP-NPA were attacking our soldiers who were doing community support and development work,” anang military chief. “We welcome the pronouncement of the President because the AFP has to do its mandate of protecting the people, securing the community, and taking care of our own soldiers too,” ani Año. Sinabi ni AFP spokesman Brig. Gen. “There were NPA members firing from the high ground and they went near the three unarmed soldiers to finish them off,” ani Martinez. “We hear the people’s clamor for peace and are willing to work hard to attain it, but it is unfortunate that the CPP-NPA-NDF chooses to play deaf,” anang military chief.
