Rep.
Harry Roque bilang kanilang unang nominee.
“The Board of Trustees of Kabayan Partylist, in Resolution No. 2017-001 (dated January 12, 2017), signed by majority of the twelve members of the Board of Trustees of Kabayan Partylist [10 approved, 2 abstained), removed Atty. Herminio “Harry” L. Roque, Jr. as member of Kabayan Partylist, and consequently, from representing Kabayan Partylist in the House of Representatives,” saad ng pahayag ng grupo ni Salo.
“Kabayan Partylist members and supporters have lost their trust and confidence on Harry Roque’s ability to genuinely advance the core advocacies of the partylist.”
“My alleged ouster from my party-list is of no moment, having been done in violation of the Constitution and By-Laws of the party itself, and by people who have usurped functions of the incumbent Executive Committee,” ani Roque.
“For this reason, I filed today with the Commission on Elections a petition to compel the party to hold a party congress so that the issue of the rightful leadership of the party can be settled legally,” ani Roque. “Our petition also seeks the annulment of the illegal resolution issued by Rep. Salo’s board for being null and void. The COMELEC is the proper venue for the intra-corporate dispute now brewing within the party-list group.”
