Navy riders hangad ang titulo sa Ronda

ASAM ng Philippine Navy na maduplika ang dominante nitong kampanya nitong nakaraang taon kahit hindi makakasama ang mga pangunahin nitong rider na sina Ronald Oranza, El Joshua Carino at John Mark Camingao sa pagsikad ng LBC Ronda Pilipinas 2017 edition simula Pebrero 4 sa Vigan, Ilocos Sur at matatapos sa Marso 4 sa Iloilo City.

Sinabi ni Navy team captain Lloyd Lucien Reynante na sina Oranza, Carino at Camingao ay napuwersa na lumiban sa kada taong karera na may 14-stage at kinukunsiderang pinakamalaking cycling race sa bansa ngayon upang sumailalim sa military training.

“They can’t race because they’re under basic seaman course, they’re required to do it,” sabi ng 36-anyos na si Reynante patungkol kay Oranza, Carino at Camingao.

Sina Oranza, Carino at Camingao ay parte ng Navy squad na pinagwagian ang lahat ng ginanap na tatlong leg ng nakaraang taon na edisyon.

Nakataya sa karera ang pangunahing premyo na P1 milyon para sa kampeon mula sa presentor na LBC at katulong ang MVP Sports Foundation, Petron, Mitsubishi, Versa.ph, Victory Liner, Maynilad, Standard Insurance, CCN, Bike Xtreme, NLEX, PhilCycling at 3Q Sports Event Management.

Ang iba pang koponan na kasali ay Go for Gold, Neopolitan, Ilocos Sur, Iloilo, Mindanao, South Luzon, Kinetix Lab-Army, Bike Extreme, Zambales, Salic at One Tarlac.

Magsisimula ang karera sa Pebrero sa dalawang yugto sa Ilocos Sur  at sisikad sa Angeles (Peb. 8), Subic (Peb. 9), Lucena, Quezon (Peb. 12), Pili, Camarines Norte (Peb. 14 at 16), Daet (Peb. 17), Paseo in Sta. Rosa, Laguna (Peb. 19), Tagaytay at Batangas (Peb. 20), Calamba at Antipolo (Peb. 21) bago kumpletuhin sa pares ng yugto sa Iloilo City sa Marso 3 at 4.
