NU Pep Squad nauwi ang ika-4 sunod UAAP cheerdance title

HALOS walang mali at pulidong mga galaw ang ipinakita ng National University (NU) Pep Squad para masungkit ang ikaapat na diretsong UAAP Cheerdance title sa ipinakitang husay sa harap ng mga manonood sa Smart Araneta Coliseum sa Cubao, Quezon City.

Agad na ipinakita ng NU na angat sila sa kumpetisyon hatid ang kanilang futuristic theme at paglipad sa ere.

Mula sa kanilang nakakagulat na stunts at pyramids na halos walang kahirap-hirap nilang binuo ay halos wala kang makikita na salto sa naging routine ng NU.

“Our training was really hard. We did not let others take this away from us,” sabi ni longtime NU Pep Squad coach Ghicka Bernabe. “Our team is fearless.”

Bunga ng panalo, ang NU ay isang titulo ang kailangan para matapatan ang University of Santo Tomas na mayroong limang sunod na kampeonato mula 2002 hanggang 2006.

Samantala, ang Adamson Pep Squad ay nakatuntong na rin sa podium matapos ang inilatag na Luau-inspired routine para lumapag sa ikatlong puwesto.

Ang Far Eastern University Cheering Squad, na may Broadway-themed performance, ay tumapos sa ikalawang puwesto.

Hindi nakasama sa cheerdance competition ngayong taon ang University of the Philippines na nagdesisyong hindi lumahok nang ang kanilang protesta ay ibinasura matapos nilang tumapos sa ikatlong puwesto noong isang taon.

Hindi naman nabawasan ng kinang ang kumpetisyon bunga na rin ng mahuhusay na routine na ipinakita ng Adamson, FEU at NU.
