KINUMPIRMA ng Palasyo na tinanggap na ni dating Makati City congressman Teodoro “Teddyboy” Locsin ang posisyon bilang Philippine Ambassador sa United Nations (UN).
Sinabi ni Communications Secretary Martin Andanar na kinumpirma mismo sa kanya ni Locsin na nagkita sila ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Bahay Pangarap kaugnay ng posisyong iniaalok sa kanya.
“He said they indeed met at Bahay Pangarap. Cong Locsin said he accepted the position as UN Ambassador,” sabi ni Andanar.
Nauna nang kumalat ang pagkakatalaga ni Locsin bilang Ambassador sa UN, bagamat walang kumpirmasyong maibigay ang Palasyo.
Si Locsin ay naging kongresista ng Makati City mula 2001 hanggang 2010.
