HANDA si Pangulong Duterte na sagutin ang isyu ng human rights violation sa bansa sakaling matalakay ito sa kanilang pag-uusap ni US President Barack Obama sa Laos sa susunod na linggo.
“He can wish any topic at all. I am ready to talk to him,” sabi ni Duterte.
Nauna nang kinumpirma ng White House ang nakatakdang pagdalo ni Obama sa Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit sa Laos.
“To talk to him? Of course,” dagdag ni Duterte nang tanungin kung handa niyang kausapin ni Obama.
Nauna nang napaulat na kabilang ang human rights abuses sa mga isyung nais talakayin ni Obama sa pagkikita nila ni Duterte sa harap naman ng serye ng extra judicial killing sa bansa.
Wala naman siyang partikular na isyu na nais iparating kay Obama.
“Wala. At this time, I’m talking with China and China wants to talk to me bilateral. If it’s good and if it’s to the advise of my team, the military, the police and these guys, eh di good work. I would say ‘larga tayo.’ It’s always a Cabinet decision,” ayon pa kay Duterte.
