Nigerian football coach arestado sa P1M shabu

ARESTADO ang isang pinaghihinalaang miyembro ng West African drug syndicate matapos mahulihan ng P1 milyong shabu, kamakalawa ng gabi at nakakulong sa Camp Olivas, Pampanga.
Inihahanda na ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) ang kaso laban kay Ejiye Okoye.
Naaresto si Okoye, 33, isang Nigerian at may alyas na “Martin,” matapos ang isinagawang buy-bust operation sa isang restaurant sa Marikina City, ayon kay PDEA Central Luzon director Emerson Margate.

Idinagdag ni Margate na nagsasagawa ng operasyon ang sindikato sa Metro Manila at sa mga lalawigan sa Central Luzon.
“Okoye used football coaching in the country to camouflage his illegal activities,” sabi ni Margate.
Dalawang taon nang nakatira sa Pilipinas si Okoye.
Kabilang sa mga nakumpiska ng mga operatiba ng PDEA ang anim na katamtamang laking sachet ng shabu na nagkakahalaga ng P1.05 milyon.
Nahaharap si Okoye sa paglabag sa Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
