Duterte niresbakan ng bading: Little respect naman sa LGBT

NIRESBAKAN si Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte ng isang transgender na kandidato sa pagkakongresista na tumatakbo sa ilalim ng  Liberal Party.     Ayon kay Geraldine Roman, kandidato sa Bataan, kung mananalo si Duterte dapat maging pangulo din siya ng bakla at tomboy, at hindi nang iilan lang.      “Hindi komo bayot o bakla at tomboy ay qualified na mahina ka. But the way he uses it ay talagang nakakalungkot kasi its an attack against dignity of people we should not be talking about people’s gender.  We should be talking about issues and platforms,” ani Roman na isa sa mga pumunta sa pagtitipon ng team Daang Matuwid sa Club Filipino, Greenhills, San Juan, Huwebes.      Nang tanungin kung ano ang kanyang mensahe kay Duterte sinabi ni Roman na dapat ay matuto itong respetuhin ang mga miyembro ng Lesbian, Gays, Bisexual and Transgender.      “Kung gusto nyang maging pangulo ng ating bansa kailangan maging pangulo siya ng lahat. at pagsinabi mo lahat ng mamamayan that includes yung LGBT community. so a little respect sana, the same respect that you demand from other people. Wag mo gawin sa kapwa tao mo kung anong ayaw mong gawin sayo,” ani Roman.      Nauna rito, mistulang minaliiit ni Duterte si Roxas na tinawag niyang ‘bayot’ (bading).      “You know there’s nothing wrong with being bayot, bakla or tomboy. But it’s the way he says it. I sense some sort of malice, so ako, for me that should not be something that should be used against his rivals, dapat we should raise the level of politics. we should talk about issue, our platform not gender kasi it’s belittling fellow citizens of our country.”      Kung mananalo, si Roman ang magiging unang transgender woman na mauupo sa Kongreso.      “The mere fact that my gender is not an issue, is big enough support, really. The goal of all LGBTs is someday, hindi paguusapan yung genders, but yung qualifications but we can contribute to the growth of our country.”
