Marinduque governor boluntaryong nagpasuspinde sa korte; umamin sa graft?
Boluntaryo umanong sasailalim sa 60 araw na suspensyon si Marinduque Gov. Carmencita Reyes na nahaharap sa dalawang kaso ng graft kaugnay ng fertilizer fund scam.
Naghain si Reyes ng mosyon upang bawiin ang inihain niyang motion for reconsideration na pumipigil sa pagpapatupad ng 60-araw na suspensyon na ipinag-utos ng Sandiganbayan Second Division.
“Accused, by understand counsel, unto this Honorable Court, most respectfully withdraws her Motion for Reconsideration dated 23 October 2015 and by way of compliance to the Honorable Court’s order hereby manifests that she is ready to serve the Honorable Court’s order of suspension pendent lite effective immediately,” saad ng mosyon.
Si Reyes ay kinasuhan kaugnay ng P5 milyong pondo ng Farm Input and Farm Implements Program na napunta sa kanyang probinsya. Ang pondo ay bahagi ng P728 milyong Fertilizer Fund scam.
Sa ilalim ng Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act, ang isang public official at masususpendi bago pa man mapatunayan na ito ay nagkasala.
