Imbestigasyon sa laglag-bala isinulong sa Kamara
Bago pa man magdagsaan ang mga uuwing overseas Filipino worker sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport ngayong Kapaskuhan, nanawagan si Valenzuela Rep. Sherwin Gatchalian sa Kamara de Representantes na magsagawa ng imbestigasyon kaugnay ng laglag-bala scheme.
Umaasa si Gatchalian na aksyunan ang inihain niyang House Resolution 2419 upang makapag-imbestiga ang House committee on transportation at makagawa ng hakbang upang matigil ang kahihiyang ito ng bansa.
“It’s bad enough that such nefarious activities being committed by OTS personnel are causing an embarrassment to the NAIA and as an institution. But what’s worse is the serious threat it poses to our tourism industry and the over-all security of our airports,” ani Gatchalian.
Kung totoo umano na inilalagay ang bala sa mga bagahe, mas nakababahala umano ito dahil mismong mga tauhan ng Office Transportation Security ang nagdadala nito.
“How can they assure us of airline safety if the very people who are supposed to protect us are the suspects? Matagal na pala itong nangyayari, but Sec. (Joseph) Abaya doesn’t have a clue,” dagdag pa ng solon.
Mayroong mga pasahero na hiningian uamno ng pera upang palagpasin ang nakumpiskang bala sa kanila.
Isang online petition ang sinimulan ni Ednalyn Purungganan, OFW na nakabase sa Hong Kong upang ipahayag ang kanilang pag-aalala sa mga balita ng tanim-bala.
“We are planning to go home in December, but after what happened to Gloria Ortinez who is a domestic helper like us, we are concerned that we might suffer the same fate,” saad ng petisyon ni Purungganan.
