Senatorial bets ng daang matuwid isinapubliko na

Pormal ng inihayag ng Koalisyon ng Daang Matuwid ang kanilang mga kandidato sa pagkasenador sa 2016 elections. Kasabay nito, inihayag ni administration presidential candidate Mar Roxas na si Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr., ang magiging general manager ng grupo, at makakatuwang niya sa Marikina Rep. Miro Quimbo, Caloocan Rep. Edgar Erice, at Akbayan Rep. Barrgy Gutierrez.
“Makasaysayan po itong araw na ito na kung saan ihahain po, ipipresenta po ang mga kakatawan sa senatorial slate ng Team Daang Matuwid,” ani Roxas.
Sinabi ni Roxas na mahalaga ang mga senador upang maging maganda ang pamamalakad ng gobyerno.
“Hindi you scratch my back, I scratch yours. Hindi yung trapo transactionalism ang batayan, kundi isang pakikipag-ugnayan na nakatungtong sa matibay na pundasyon ng prinsipyo. Prinsipyong itinaguyod ng Daang Matuwid Coalition.”

Kasama sa senatorial slate ng Daang Matuwid sina Senate President Franklin Drilon, Sen. Ralph Recto, Sen. Teofisto Guingona III, dating Sen. Francis Pangilinan, dating Sen. Panfilo Lacson, Justice Sec. Leila de Lima, dating Energy Sec. Jericho Petilla, TESDA director general Joel Villanueva, TIEZA Chief Operating Officer Mark Lapid, PhilHealth director Risa Hontiveros, COOP NATCCO party List Rep. Cresente Paez at DILG Assistant Secretary for Muslim Affairs and Special Concerns Nariman Ina Ambolodto.
Nagpahayag naman ng tiwala ang running mate ni Roxas na si Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo sa kakayanan ng kanilang mga kandidato.
“Nakatrabaho ng asawa kong si Jesse ang karamihan sa kanila at nagtitiwala tayo na masinsing pinili ng Partido ang labindalawa para sa pagpapatuloy at pagsusulong ng Daang Matuwid,” ani Robredo.
