BIR sinampahan ng P101.7M tax evasion ang mga anak ni Napoles

SINAMPAHAN kahapon ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) ng tax evasion sa Department of Justice (DOJ) ang mga anak ng tinaguriang reyna ng pork barrel scam na si Janet Lim-Napoles kaugnay ng umano’y hindi pagbabayad ng buwis na aabot sa P101.7 milyon.

Kabilang sa mga kinasuhan ng paglabag sa section 254 at section 255 ng National Internal Revenue Code (NIRC) ay ang mga opisyal ng JCLN Global Properties Development Corporation (JCLN Corp.) kasama ang presidente nito na si James Christopher L. Napoles at treasurer na si Jo Christine L. Napoles.

Nagsasagawa ang BIR ng imbestigasyon matapos naman ang imbestigasyon ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) kaugnay ng P10 bilyon pork barrel scam.

Batay sa imbestigasyon ng BIR, nakabili ang JCLN Corp. ng iba’t-ibang mga property sa Pasig City, Quezon City, Manila, Taguig, Bulacan at Kidapawan, Cotabato na nagkakahalaga ng P16.5 milyon noong 2008; P36.07 milyon noong 2009; 44.19 milyon noong 2010 at P43.21 noong 2011.

Kasama sa mga nabiling mga ari-arian ay ang mga condominium unit sa G5 at G6 Residences Discovery Center, The Beaufort at Eastwood Lafayette One Libis. Nabigo naman nitong iulat ang mga ginagawang pagbili sa Comparative Audited Financial Statements.

“Such failure is “a concealment of assets for taxable years 2008 to 2011 which is evidently a scheme to conceal undeclared revenues,” sabi ng BIR.
