JRU naka-2 sunod na panalo sa PBA D-League
NAGAWANG mapigilan ng Jose Rizal University ang Batangas, 70-65, para mahablot ang ikalawang sunod na panalo sa 2017 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup kahapon sa Ynares Sports Arena sa Pasig City.
Pinamunuan ni Ervin Grospe ang Heavy Bombers sa pagtala ng 20 puntos at tatlong rebounds.
Si Tey Teodoro ay nagdagdag ng 18 puntos, kabilang ang pitong puntos sa ikatlong yugto kung saan itinatag ng JRU ang 11-puntos na kalamangan, 53-42, sa kalagitnaan ng nasabing yugto.
“Just like every time, I tell my players to keep playing. Our defense today was a big improvement compared to our last game,” sabi ni JRU coach Vergel Meneses.
Bunga ng panalo, umangat ang Heavy Bombers sa 2-0 kartada at nakasama ang AMA Online Education Titans sa pangunguna sa kumperensiya.
