Agree ka ba? Miriam best president we never had

UMULAN ng pagpupugay sa Internet habang patuloy ang pakikiramay at pagdadalamhati ng mga netizens sa pagpanaw ni Senador Miriam Defensor Santoago Huwebes ng umaga.

Mabilis ang pagsang-ayon ng mga netizensa na ang pumanaw na senador ay ang “the best president we never had” at nagsimulang mag-trending ang hashtag #RIPMiriam.

“Rest in peace, Senator MDS. Your intellect and fire will be missed in the halls of the Senate,” ang tweet ni Abigail Valte, presidential spokesperson ng nakaraang Aquino administration.

“Hope the country takes a break from all the mudslinging and politicking and takes time to pay respects to @senmiriam. She will be missed,” tweet naman ng dating Comelec Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal.

Tatlong beses na tumakbo sa pagkapangulo si Santiago —noong 1992 kung saan natalo siya kay  Fidel V. Ramos, noong 1998 na natalo naman siya kay Joseph Estrada, at nitong nakaraang eleksiyon kung saan tinalo rin siya ni Rodrigo Duterte.

“You’ve done so much for our country. Thank you Senator Miriam Santiago for being the BEST president we never had,” tweet naman ni  Cristy Macaraeg.

“Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, a president we never had. Rest in peace. You served the Filipino people well. #RIPMiriam,” sabi naman ni @janrobertgo.

“There can only be one. #RIPSenatorMiriam,” pahayag naman ng kilalang blogger na si Professional Heckler.

“I always voted for her & made no secret about it. @senmiriam We will not forget your sharp wit, and unabashed love of country. Salamat po,” tweet din ng sikat na blogger na si Gang Badoy Capati.

Nagsilbi si Santiago sa tatlong branch ng gobyerno — bilang regional trial court noong panahon ng Martial Law, immigration commissioner at agrarian reform secretary noong panahon naman ni Cory Aquiino at three-term senator na nagsimula noong 1995.

“Tragic. Sen. Miriam Santiago, my idol, has succumbed to lung cancer today. The PHL has lost a National Treasure. Sad, sad day.?????? #RIPMiriam,” sabi naman ni Frankie B. Baraan.

“With all the fuss in the senate presently happening, your intelligence, voice and personality is already missed…. Rest in peace Madam,” post naman ni Jing de los Reyes.

“You’ve lived, you’ve fought, you’ve won, you’ve lost, and now you have to rest. Thank you Miriam for your services, sacrifices, and your time. We are grateful for having you as one of our greatest leaders,” hirit naman ni Fester Cantores Caramto said.
