DOJ inaprubahan ang paghahain ng tax evasion laban kay Cedric Lee
INAPRUBAHAN kahapon ng Department of Justice (DOJ) ang paghahain ng kasong tax evasion laban kay Cedric Lee kaugnay ng umano’y pagkabigong magbayad ng buwis na aabot sa P194.47 milyon.
Bukod kay Lee, pinapakasuhan din ang kanyang asawang si Judy Gutierrez Lee a, na Finance Officer ng Izumo Contractors Inc., at John K. Ong, ang chief operating officer ng kumpanya. Si Lee ang presidente ng Izumo contractors.
Sa 13-pahinang resolusyon na isinulat ni Assistant State Prosecutor Stewart Allan Mariano at inaprubahan nina Senior Assistant State Prosecutor Susan Dacanay at Prosecutor General Claro Arellano, hindi umano idineklara ni Lee ang kita ng kumpanya na aabot sa 1,602 porsiyento mula 2006 hanggang 2009.
“The manifest underdeclaration is more than tenfold…thus, a prima facie case thereby exists against all the respondents,” sabi ng resolusyon ng DOJ.
Nauna nang kinasuhan si Lee dahil sa umano’y pambubugbog sa aktor at host na si Vhong Navarro.
