Bawas-singil ng Meralco inaprubahan

Meralco
Mula sa P1.5562 kada kilo Watt hour, ibinaba sa P1.3810 kada kWh ang singil ng Meralco– P1.0114/kWh sa Distribution Charge, P0.2251/kWh sa Supply Charge at P0.1444 kWh sa Metering Charge.
Ang bagong singil ay mas mababa ng 11.26 porsyento o P0.1752/kWh na average na sinisingil ng Meralco.
Mas mababa ito sa P1.3939/kWh na hiling Meralco na bagong singil.
Bumaba ang singil bunsod ng hiling ng Meralco sa ERC na alisin ang under recoveries na ipinatupad noong Hunyo 2007 hanggang Hunyo 2011. Inalis na rin ng ERC ang P0.0129/kWh na net efficiency fee na ipinatupad noong Hulyo 2011 hanggang Hunyo 2015.
“In so doing, the ERC has ensured that Meralco will not over-collect from its customers for its previous under-recoveries and allowed net efficiency adjustments, while the ERC determines what Meralco’s appropriate rate should be starting the July 2015 billing period,” saad ng pahayag ng ERC.
Samantala, bababa na sa puwesto si ERC chairman Zenaida Ducut matapos ang pitong taon niyang termino.
