DOH itinanggi na nagpositibo sa Mers ang isang Koreano sa Bacolod City

ITINANGGI kahapon ng Department of Health (DOH) na nagpositibo sa Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (Mers) ang isang estudyanteng Koreano na isinailalim sa quarantine sa Bacolod City.

“There is no confirmed case as of this time in the Philippines,” sabi ni DOH spokesman Lyndon Lee Suy sa panayam ng Radyo Inquirer.

Dumating ang Koreano sa Bacolod City noong Hunyo 26 at isinailalim sa quarantine sa Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.

Sa panayam ng Inquirer Visayas, sinabi ni Dr. Carmela Gensoli, officer-in-charge ng Bacolod City Health Office, na nakatakdang ilabas ng Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) sa Muntinlupa City ang resulta ng throat swabbing test sa Koreano anumang oras ngayon.

Idinagdag ni Gensoli na wala nang lagnat ang pasyente na aniya’y magandang senyales.
Kahapon, kumalat sa social media na nagpositibo ang Koreano sa nakakamatay na virus.
