IS Marian Something suffering from xenoglossophobia?

We’re asking this because in one of the latest episodes of Eat Bulaga’s Juan for All, All for Juan segment ay nag-walkout ang bruha.

But don’t misinterpret it. Actually, her walking out was replete with humor. Tumalilis kasi ang hitad when the winner was already speaking in English.

Alam n’yo naman si Marianita, very vocal siya sa pagsasabing hindi siya kagalingan sa King’s language. Aminado naman siya na although she’s a college graduate ay ang pagsasalita sa wikang Ingles ang kanyang waterloo.

Now, going back to our question, hindi naman siguro nagsa-suffer si Marianita sa so called foreign language anxiety or xenoglossophobia which is described by Wikipedia as “the feeling of unease, worry, nervousness and apprehension experienced when learning or using a second or foreign language.

“These feelings may stem from any second language context whether associated with the productive skills of speaking and writing, or the receptive skills of reading and listening.”
