20th MARHO Racing Festival magiging bongga

HINDI titigil ang pamunuan ng MARHO sa paggawa ng plano para mas maging maganda ang gagawing 20th MARHO Racing Festival.

Ito ang tiniyak ng mga opisyales ng grupo sa pangunguna ng pangulong si Antonio de Ubago Jr. at chairman Leonardo “Sandy” Javier Jr., matapos ang matagumpay na pakarera noong Linggo sa San Lazaro Leisure Park sa Carmona, Cavite.

“Next year will be the 20th running of the MARHO Cup, the sports longest continuously-held racing festival. We promise to make it an even more spectacular event,” wika ni De Ubago Jr.

Dinumog ng karerista ang selebrasyon sa taong ito at kinatampukan ito ng anim na MARHO Stakes races sa 14 karerang inihanay.

Ang mga lumabas na nanalo ay ang Sky Hook at Driven sa Juvenile Colts at Fillies, Marinx at Kanlaon sa 3YO Filly at Colt Mile race, Nemesis sa Sprint at Hot And Spicy sa Classic na pinaglabanan sa 2,000-metro distansya.

Lumabas na pinakamahusay  na horse owner at hinete sa anim na karerang pinaglabanan ay sina Joseph Dyhengco at jockey Jordan Cordova na siyang may-ari at hinete ng Sky Hook at Hot And Spicy.

Kasama rin sa itinakbo ay ang Philracom Ambassador Eduardo Cojuangco Jr. Cup sa 2,000-metro distansya at dinomina ito ng premyadong kabayo na si Hagdang Bato na diniskartehan ni Jonathan Hernandez at pag-aari ni Mandaluyong City Mayor Benhur Abalos.

Ang 2:04.6 winning time ay gahibla lang kinulang para pantayan ang record sa distansya na 2:04.4 na pinagsasaluhan ng tatlong kabayo na sina Yes Pogi, Wild Orchid at Stowaway Lass.
