SAN BEDA, ARELLANO AGAWAN SA TOP SPOT

MALALAMAN ngayon kung sinu-sino ang mga magtatapat sa Final Four sa 90th NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

Ang apat na semifinalists ay magtatapat ngayon  sa The Arena sa San Juan City para sa dalawang playoff games na magtatakda kung aling mga koponan ang magsasagupa sa Final Four.

Ang host Jose Rizal University (12-6) ay mapapalaban sa University of Perpetual Help (12-6) sa ganap na alas-2 ng hapon. Paglalabanan nila ang ikatlo at ikaapat na  puwesto.

Maghaharap naman ang four-time defending champion San Beda College (13-5) at Arellano University (13-5) dakong alas-4 ng hapon para sa number one at two spot ng Final Final.

Gayunman, taglay na ng San Beda at Arellano ang twice-to-beat advantage kontra sa number three at four teams ng semis.

“We’re ready whichever team we face in the Final Four but we hope we’re going there coming off a win,” sabi ni Perpetual Help coach Aric del Rosario.

Nakumpleto ang Final Four cast nitong Miyerkules  matapos matalo ang St. Benilde ng Letran, 57-64, sa pagtatapos ng double round elimination. Kapag nanalo kasi ang Blazers noong Miyerkules ay magtatapos din ito na may 12-6 record ay magkakaroon ng triple tie para sa third place.

May tsansa ring masungkit ng Arellano ang top seed overall pero nabigo rin ito ng Lyceum, 96-101, noong Miyerkules.
Dahil dito ay magka-karoon ng double playoff ngayon sa NCAA.

Ang number one team ang makakasagupa ng number four habang ang number two ay makakabangga ng number three team sa semifinals.
