NAKUHA ng San Mig Coffee ang solo liderato sa team standings matapos ipalasap sa Barangay Ginebra San Miguel ang unang pagkatalo, 102-90, sa kanilang PLDT Home TVolution PBA Governors’ Cup game kahapon sa Smart Araneta Coliseum sa Cubao, Quezon City.

Bunga ng panalo, umangat ang Mixers sa 4-1 record habang ang Gin Kings ay nahulog sa 3-1 kartada para makasalo sa ikalawang puwesto ang Air21 Express at Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters.

Pinangunahan ni Marqus Blakely ang Mixers sa itinalang 34 puntos, 17 rebounds at anim na steals.

Sina Zaccheus Mason at Mark Caguioa ay kapwa gumawa ng tig-18 puntos para pamunuan ang Barangay Ginebra.

Sa unang laro, nagsanib puwersa naman sina Cliff Hodge at Mike Cortez sa crunch time para tulungan ang Meralco Bolts na masilat ang Alaska Aces, 88-87.

Pinamunuan ni Mario West ang Air21 sa kinamadang 21 puntos. Si Hodge ay nagtala ng 20 puntos at 12 rebounds habang si Cortez ay may 19 puntos para sa Bolts.

Samantala, patatatagin ng Talk ‘N Text at Air21 ang kanilang puwesto sa top four sa kanilang pagtutuos mamayang alas-8 ng gabi sa SM Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City.
