Tili ng fans, Tom Rodriguez binastos si Carla

Alex Brosas - March 22, 2014 - 03:00 AM

Meron palang talent itong si Tom Rodriguez sa pagdo-drawing. And while on a break sa shooting ng movie nila, nag-drawing si Tom ng isang guy and isang girl na naghahalikan with this caption: “Last update for now on the Elven piece.

Last scene na din namin on our last shooting day here on the set of #SOITSYOU #SoItsYouTheMovie done without reference on ps cc and wacom intuos 5. Any and all likenesses are purely coincidental :P”

But as getitfromboy.com reported, Tom’s drawing which he posted on his Instagram account caught the ire of some followers.

“RESPECT dude,” tweet niya, followed by this message, “A real man would never use the likeness of a girl he auspiciously covets in such a vulgar representation that is so telling of his desire. in plain language: hindi mo naman kailangang ipagsigawan sa mundo na pinagnanasahan mo si @carlaangeline. she is a decent girl. show her respect. kung humahanga ka sa kanya, draw her in a more respectable way.”

Tom immediately replied and said, “Hi po…with all due respect, i humbly ask you to keep my ig account less negative. I understand where you afe coming from, but i assure you, i drew this from scratch from my imagination in front of a LOT of people and I had no intentions nor did I use anyone as a model for any of the characters.

This piece is part of a fantasy adventure series and is devoid of malice so sana we can just appreciate artwork as just that…” He expressed his disappointment sa follower na ‘yon and wished na, “Sana po you read muna the disclaimer that says any likenesses are coincidental because it does happen the characters in this piece do not represent anyone in real life, and if likenesses are present, they do not exist in the piece but in the viewer’s own minds…thank you though for taking the time to look at my work, i really appreciate it.

“I would just rather that we talked about the art itself kesa pagusapan natin ang mga bagay na hindi naman parte ng painting…nakakahiya sa ibang taong nadadamay.

“Like I said, I drew the piece in front of an audience, from construction lines to basic values until the form was rendered. All of it existed in my mind. I drew it and i am telling you it is not meant to be anyone but an elven woman.

I have drawn many faces in my life and this is not the first time that viewers have seen likenesses which were not intended…this is however the first time that someone is injecting malice into a piece that i have done.

“Im sorry but this will be the last time i will be addressing this issue, again iIask that we keep it positive or constructive here and focus on the art itself. I will be deleting any further deviations from the intent of this piece. Thank you,” pagtatapos ni Tom.
